La Conferencia Virtual Anual es un evento de cuatro días que ofrece formas innovadoras para reconectarse con viejos amigos y hacer nuevos a través de discusiones sobre cada condición médica, eventos sociales y espacios virtuales abiertos para compartir. Las sesiones médicas sobre Marfan, Loeys-Dietz, VEDS y el síndrome de Stickler contarán, como siempre, con los principales expertos en el campo y permitirán intercambios sólidos de preguntas y respuestas.

Además de las sesiones que serán traducidas en vivo, habrá una sesión sobre cirugía aórtica en Marfan y Loeys-Dietz que se presentará en español.

Las sesiones estarán disponibles desde la mañana hasta la noche, en horario del Este de Estados Unidos, y se ofrecerán varios grupos de apoyo que sean accesibles a personas en diferentes zonas horarias. Se grabarán algunas presentaciones médicas; no se grabarán reuniones de apoyo y sociales. The Marfan Foundation is Providing Live Spanish Translations of Several Sessions during its Virtual Annual Conference, July 8-11, 2021

The Marfan Foundation is pleased to offer live Spanish translations of several sessions during our first-ever Virtual Annual Conference, July 8-11, 2021. There will also be opportunities for Spanish speakers to meet up informally online within the conference.

The Virtual Annual Conference is a four-day event that offers innovative ways to reconnect with old friends and make new ones through condition discussions, social events, and open virtual spaces to hang-out and share. The medical sessions on Marfan, Loeys-Dietz, VEDS, and Stickler syndrome will, as always, feature leading experts in the field and will allow for robust question and answer exchanges.

Registration is free and you can attend as many or as few sessions as you’d like. Registrants can attend the Spanish sessions as well as any sessions offered in English only. Register today!

“We are thrilled to be able to make it easier for the Spanish speakers in our community to get the best information on Marfan and related conditions,” said Bert Medina, a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. “We invite people with Marfan, Loeys-Dietz, and VEDS who prefer to learn in Spanish – regardless of where in the world they live – to participate in this event. In addition to the sessions that will be live-translated, there will be a session on aortic surgery in Marfan and Loeys-Dietz that is presented in Spanish.

Sessions will be available from morning till evening Eastern time, with several support groups offered more than once so that they are accessible to people in different time zones. Some medical presentations will be recorded; support and social gatherings will not be recorded. We recommend viewing the conference sessions on a desktop, laptop, or tablet, though they can also be viewed on a smartphone. Internet access is required.
