Camp Victory 2024 Brings Smiles

Six years ago, the Foundation began offering Camp Victory to provide a fun, safe environment where affected kids and families could have a traditional sleep-away camp experience that is medically monitored and accessible for all.

This year, Camp Victory for Kids in Georgia and California, held in July and August respectively, hosted 38 campers, 20 volunteer counselors, five Foundation staff members, and five medical staff of volunteer nurses and medical directors. Through the generosity of our donors, scholarships were provided to half of our campers this year.

“Camp Victory is such a special experience for kids with vascular conditions and their siblings! My kids have participated two years in a row, and it is their favorite thing of summer!” said Katherine Dowdney, mom of Emerson and Margot who attended the family camp in California last year.

Camp Victory for Families was recently held in Georgia with 36 people (10 families) in attendance. The final camping session for families will be held in early November in California. We will be hosting Camp Victory in the summer and fall of 2025. Learn more at marfan.org/campvictory
