The Best Nonprofits to Work For survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the nonprofit industry, benefiting the industry’s economy, workforce and businesses. Nonprofits from across the United States entered the two-part survey process to determine Best Nonprofits to Work For.

The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated organization’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top nonprofits and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data and determined the ranking.

Weamer was quick to emphasize that the Loeys-Dietz, Marfan, VEDS, and related communities share in this recognition alongside the Foundation’s staff. “This award belongs to all of us—staff, volunteers, and community members alike. Whether arriving early for Walks for Victory, distributing educational materials at symposiums, sharing personal stories at Conference, driving scientific breakthroughs, or advancing clinical care, our grassroots and leadership-level volunteers stand shoulder to shoulder with our team. Together, we are a united force, unwavering in our dedication to our shared mission.”

Medina praised the staff’s unwavering dedication to advancing the Foundation’s mission. “Our team works tirelessly to ensure that our community has the resources, treatment options, knowledge, and support needed to thrive. On behalf of our board of directors, volunteers, and community members, I extend my deepest gratitude to our incredible staff for all they do!”
